Coconut Turmeric Beauty Elixir Smoothie

Turmeric is a very popular anti-inflammatory spice you can add to your diet. It’s especially tasty when combined with coconut oil. This smoothie is packed with healthy fats and super nutrients that will help to build collagen and keep your complexion glowing. In addition to being a beautifying elixir, there are many studies that show turmeric can help prevent diseases. Having this smoothie regularly is an amazing lifestyle choice and will provide long lasting energy. We try and have it at least 3 times a week.

Tip: To get that thick smoothie bowl texture, you will need ice. But, adding ice will also water it down. LIFE HACK: if all the fruits are frozen you’ll get the perfect texture without diluting the flavour.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup hemp or coconut milk

  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil

  • 1 tsp turmeric

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp ginger

  • 1 tsp chia seeds (soak them for 3 minutes before blending)

  • 1 tsp maca
