Oh lordie lordie. You think you know it all / have seen it all / have read every blogs and review / followed all the data / heard of every transformative product….BUT NO! You haven’t. We just discovered something amazing. Of course, like all truly effective skincare ingredients, this plant seed has been used for centuries in ancient medicine to heal and revive skin. HOWEVER - it’s new for me - so I am excited. It’s called Seabuckthorn and it’s from the Himalayan mountains.
Lately, I’ve noticed my skin just isn’t happy with all the artificial ingredients in the products I use. It’s sensitive and prone to breaking out. If I don’t remove makeup properly, or i’m eating badly, my skin will let me know. However, I think I’ve been downplaying how sensitive my skin is to certain unnatural ingredients in my skincare routine (like mica and talc). Even when you SEARCH and FILTER for ‘NATURAL’ makeup, most website pull up products whose ingredients are anything but natural. Clear skin requires a holistic approach and that means knowing your skins triggers and taking care of yourself (inside and out). There’s lots to learn. Most recently we’ve been loving Sarah Therese’s Youtube channel for tips and tricks on how to get that natural glow!
Living Libations - How it Started
I heard about a company called living libations and at the same time I also found some crazy effective ingredient called seabuckthorn that people with acne swear by. The more I read, the more I needed to try it and learn about this ingredient. It is extracted from the berries, leaves and seeds of the sea buckthorn plant (Hippophae rhamnoides), which is a small shrub that grows at high altitudes in the Himalayas. Living libations most popular product is literraly called - Best Skin Ever - Seabuckthorn and it’s an oil that you literarily use to cleanse and moisturize in one step without ever removing it. It’s an all in one product. Weird. Intriguing. I know.
You can also try taking seabuckthorn oil supplements to attack achieving clear skin from the inside as well as topically. There are plenty of them online and we would suggest trying the brand SIbu.
The benefits of this super powerful antioxidant go way beyond a glowing complexion and include boosting the immune system!
Seabuckthorn sends its lipids deep into the skin, diminishing imbalances from the inside out. This supercritical extract is packed with omega fatty acids 3, 6, 7, and 9, antioxidants, vitamin, palmitoleic acids, carotenoids, and phytosterols. A single drop of seabuckthorn oil contains 190 different bioactive compounds. This bright orange essence is incredibly regenerative and complexion clearing - relaxing redness and paring puffiness. Seabuckthorn is an excellent addition to cleansers for acne. It helps to harmonize skin with sun.

The use of coconut oil and again - how it will affect breakouts
Will it be greasy
