The jade roller is a simple but underrated tool if used consistently. We love it because it essentially increases blood flow to your face (without using your hands). It's like a foam roller for your face! But why is blood flow SO important for achieving glowing skin? As most yoga teachers will tell you, blood flow is the key to youthfulness. Blood CARRIES in it all the beneficial nutrients from your superfood rich diet, promoting cell growth and restoring any damage. That's why glowing skin is multi-faceted. Nutrient rich foods are broken down and eventually vitamins enter your blood stream to be carried to all your cells. As a final amazing benefit, increasing blood flow helps prevent breakouts due to the bacteria fighting nutrients it carries. In addition, we find it's such a relaxing routine.
How to use: When we do a sheet mask, we use the roller over top of it. We also use it right after putting on a serum to really make sure it absorbs deeply. Lastly, in the morning after washing our face and putting a warm cloth over it we like to help wake up our skin by rolling it. To clean it, use a cotton ball covered in rubbing alcohol and wipe the side used.

We recently talked about the Neutrogena Hydro boost moisturizer and this product is another we absolutely love from them this year. It's very similar to the ordinary retinol which we used to use every night but it's a bit stronger and absorbs a bit faster. We tend to mix it up between the two now. You will wake up with a smooth baby face that feels completely unclogged. We find it just makes our pores so small and has really helped with dark spots. Quick fact: Retinol is the most potent form of vitamin A and it's amazing for your skin. Vitamin A is a great anti-aging ingredient because it works by prompting surface skin cells to turn over and die rapidly, making room for new cell growth underneath. That's why the stronger the formula, the more risk of irritation (just test it on a small patch of skin first).

We've included this product as a 'GUESS WHAT!? IT'S NEW' exclusively for Montrealers. For those who don't know, Barbarella is a Montreal beauty salon which is widely known as having the best spray tan the city/sickest manicures ever (proof in picture). Countless brides trust this place to give them a glowing, streak free tan for their wedding days and they also have the most incredible nail aestheticians+other services like lash lifts! Check out their instagram. Now they have their own line of tanning products and they are amazing!! This one is the same formula they spray with but in a gel format. You exfoliate, apply, and leave on for 8 hours before showering. Great for touch ups or full tans at home! Unfortunately not yet available online but one day they will be we hope! This one is for the Montrealers. We need our sunless tanning solutions because are winter is never ending this year.

This is the product we would NOT repurchase. We have been meaning to write about it for a while and noticed it's actually not even being sold by Deciem anymore which pretty much sums it up. It was a pretty big waste of money, smells terrible, and is not very effective. You would be better off simply dabbing some peppermint oil (or any other irritant) to get some extra volume. This promised to give botox like effects and we would definitely have to say that it did NOT live up to that claim. If you also tried this and were disappointed let us know! The only reason we gave this a 2/10 is because the packaging is really nice!
