Must-Have Carry-On Essentials for Glowing & Healthy Skin While Traveling!

Disinfecting Wipes

Get yourself some travel-sized disinfecting wipes. Lavender and lemon Lysol wipes are our favorites, but any brand will do. You can also get similar wipes from Clorox, Purell, or even Wet Ones. Bacteria and dirt are among the biggest enemies of great skin. Not to get you thinking about it too much, but there are many areas where the cleaning crew does not have sufficient time to disinfect before the next passenger’s board. Before you do anything, you should wipe down your zone.

  • The control panel for the onboard entertainment system. This could mean wiping down the touchscreen or any buttons.

  • Your tray table. This pretty much never gets wiped. It is a breeding ground for bacteria.

  • The buttons for the lights and the lever for the seat.

Tips: Wipe down everything twice. The second wipe-down will really ensure any spots you missed get taken care of. Purchase everything beforehand on Amazon (avoid paying more at the airport).

Dr. Bronner's Lavender Hand Sanitizer

This is an obvious item to have on hand while traveling, especially in today’s world. However, the typical hand sanitizers we see people using tend to be extremely drying. We’ve found that this one works to kill bacteria while also maintaining the skin’s natural moisture barrier. It kills bacteria with natural ingredients.

Visine Dry Eye Long-Lasting Relief

They don’t call it a red-eye flight for nothing. Pack a bottle of eye drops. Not only does your skin get dehydrated during travel, but your eyes do as well, which can cause you to rub them frequently (this causes more lines!). We also want to avoid putting our hands on our faces—or in our eyes—since traveling means you are surrounded by bacteria and germs. To keep our eyes moist, we always have our Visine Dry Eye Relief in our carry-on; it is formulated to keep your eyes lubricated for up to 10 hours and works like a charm! This step in our travel routine makes us feel more awake when we land since we’re not struggling to pry our eyes open following a snooze in an over-air-conditioned cabin.

Fresh Rose Floral Water

Stay Hydrated and Refreshed During Your Flight with a Nourishing Facial Mist

Long flights can leave your skin feeling dry and depleted, but a hydrating mist is the perfect travel companion to keep your skin refreshed and glowing. This gentle floral water not only revitalizes and moisturizes your skin but also provides a calming, soothing effect throughout your journey.

We first started using rosewater mist as a quick fix for dryness, but we soon discovered its many other skincare benefits. Rich in antioxidants and vitamins, rose water helps balance oily skin, cleanse impurities, and soothe irritation—making it an essential part of any travel beauty routine.

Beyond skincare, rose water also has mood-enhancing properties, helping to combat the stress and fatigue that often come with traveling. A quick spritz can leave your skin with a dewy glow while providing a refreshing sensory boost.

For a hydrated, radiant complexion and a touch of relaxation mid-flight, keep a nourishing rose water mist in your carry-on. Your skin—and your mood—will thank you!

Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment

We moisturize our lips with Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment.

Fresh has some of the best beauty products, and we especially love their lip formulas. Even their lipsticks are ultrahydrating! This lip treatment is fortified with sea fennel to help smooth the look of fine lines and wrinkles and define the lip area, while antioxidant-rich orange extract helps protect the lips.

There are a few special reasons why we love this hydrating blast of avocado for longer flights. Firstly, it’s from Sephora’s ‘Clean At’ line of products. Secondly, it comes with this avocado sleeping mask that’s perfect for nap time and just adorable. Thirdly, the mask is a hydrating cream that melts into the skin and can’t be seen. Let’s be honest, it can be a bit awkward wearing a sheet mask on a plane next to a stranger. We like to use this on flights that are over 6 hours or overnight.

COLD / FLU EMERGENCY KIT

If all your preventative measures fail to keep you healthy and you wind up with a cold on vacation, you’ll be happy you packed a kit of tea and immune system boosters to help you! These can be helpful during a cold or flu or before. These will help with cold and flu symptoms, and they’ll make sure your bug doesn’t last long! This includes vitamin C tablets, Theraflu, anti-oxidant-rich teas, and some lozenges.
