The Joys of In-suite dining aboard Explora I
For someone with MS one of the most important things I have to be mindful of - everyday - is diet. A diet rich in nutrients and low In inflammatory foods. Low carbs, high protein and high omega 3’s. And of course managing stress.
The first two days of my 33 days have been spent getting to know this amazing ship. All the nooks and crannies that she offers as an oasis from our everyday hectic life.
But the first two nights I did something on all my past cruises I have rarely done. I had in-suite dining - aka room service. I was intrigued by the menu and frankly after the brutal travel schedule I had to get here I was nine tired and wanted to do nothing more than wrap myself up in the plushiest of robes and watch a movie.
The in-suite dining menu is a carefully curated balance of a little bit naughty and a lot nice. This menu also reinforces “an ocean state of mind” which is what Explora I wants you to achieve. What is unique about this menu is that there is a dedicated kitchen for only in-suite dining so your food requests are promptly prepared and served hot and scrumptious.
My dinner the first night was so good I repeated it the second night. I had jumbo shrimp, vegetable spring rolls with plant based mayo and a Tuna Tataki Poke Bowl served with wasabi Mayo that was divine.
