When Life Takes a Turn: Finding Perfect Moments at Sea

Hi. It’s Suzanne writing to you from Edinburg.

Is life perfect? No Absolutely not. But there are moments that are perfect. And we have to celebrate them and cherish them. I was going to do an excursion today that was a whiskey tasting, (my son loves whiskey-me not so much but I wanted to learn about it) a dinner and then witnessing the famed Tattoo military event in Edinburgh. The long and short of it was that the walk from bus to castle was too challenging for me with my MS. I headed back to Explora I (with Carlos from destinations trying everything short of carrying me to the event. I was disappointed but with resolve that it was just one of life’s curves and I had to deal with it. It was no one’s fault. It just was.

I walked into my room this evening with this amazing cake, a kind and warm note from the guest services team and a bottle of champagne.

As I sit on my deck, listening to the seagulls and watching the water gently pass buy all the while sipping champagne and enjoying this cake I realize an #oceanstateofmind has worked it’s wonders once again.
