Dark Chocolate Detox Bites

INGREDIENTS
8 oz dark chocolate (I used Trader Joe’s 73% Super Dark — the higher the cacao %, the better!)
Assorted dried fruits, chopped into small pieces (apricots, cranberries, goji berries, dates, etc.)
Chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, pistachios, pecans — use what you have on hand)
Seeds (hemp, flax, sesame, chia, poppy — these add texture and a nutritional boost)
INSTRUCTIONS
Prep your surface: Lay out a sheet of parchment, wax paper, or foil on your counter. If you’ll refrigerate your bites, place the paper on a baking sheet for easy transfer.
Melt the chocolate:
Chop your chocolate into small chunks.
Place in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 60 seconds. Stir.
Heat for another 30 seconds, stir again until fully melted. (If needed, microwave in additional 10–15 second bursts, stirring each time.)
Form the bites:
Use a spoon to drop small pools of melted chocolate onto the parchment. Let it drip naturally into circles about 2–2½ inches wide.
While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle each circle with a mix of chopped fruit, nuts, and seeds. Be generous — this is where the magic happens!
Set the chocolate:
Let the bites firm up at room temperature (about 30–60 minutes), or pop them in the fridge for a quicker set.
Store and enjoy:
Keep in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge. They’ll stay fresh for up to 3 weeks — or freeze for longer!
