From the Traveling Glamma Kitchen: Barcelona Market to Table

From the Traveling Glamma Kitchen: Barcelona Edition

Before we started cooking, we went shopping.

One of my favorite things to do when I travel is take a cooking class, especially when it begins at a local market. In Barcelona, that meant a trip through Santa Caterina Market with our chef to choose the ingredients we would actually be cooking with.

Fresh seafood, beautiful produce, Spanish cheeses, meats, spices and stalls filled with things I wanted to taste.

And then there were the donuts.

No, they weren't on the shopping list. Yes, they deserved their own moment.

This is one of the reasons I love cooking classes when I travel. You don't just learn how to make a dish. You shop where the locals shop, learn about the ingredients and get a little glimpse into how a city actually eats.
