Eda and Suzanne’s Second Day in Rome: From Hotel Splendide Royal to Oceania Riviera

Hi. Suzanne again. Still in Rome about to board the Oceania Cruises ship Riviera.

The second day in the Eda (Eda Cohen) and Suzanne great adventure started with breakfast on the sixth floor of the Hotel Splendide Royal which overlooks the Borghese Gardens and has a wonderful view of the Vatican in the distance. With fortification we headed towards the port of Chivitavecchia where we boarded our home, the Oceania Riviera, for the next ten days. Once we did a quick walk around the ship and got our bearings we headed off to the Terrace Cafe for some lunch. We were able to retreat to our veranda for a bit of a rest. We unpacked, changed and went up to Toscana restaurant for dinner where we watched the ship sail away from port.
