Wellness Wednesday FaceFood Salad
Happy Wellness Wednesday everyone!! This vegetarian friendly lunch will definitely give you the energy you need to get through the day. We practice what we preach and this is a regular lunch for us at JOH. It's a FaceFood salad packed with healthy nutrients and flavors! OH and why not make it pretty since we’re beauty obsessed! They say presentation is everything and this salad is almost too good-looking to eat! You can add or remove any ingredients or switch up the dressing. The most important thing is to have fun with it!!
In case you need some inspiration, check out exactly what we put in it below. The vinaigrette is the same one we usually use for all of our salads. It’s easy and delicious!! See instruction below!
Ingredients:
- Romaine hearts
- Tomatoes
- Baby field greens
- Feta cheese
- Shaved carrots
- Fava beans
- Black and green olives
- Cucumbers
- Asparagus
Lemon-Dijon vinaigrette:
- Extra Virgin Olive oil always from Olive en Folie (read about the skin benefits and how to use it topically here).
- Dijon Mustard
- Juice of 1 Lemon
- Himalayan Salt + Pepper
Note: Play around with the ratios for desired taste but usually it’s about a 3-1 olive oil / lemon ratio with about a tbsp of dijon.
